The opportunity


Fantastic opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to join Bupa Health Insurance as the People Services Administrator on a permanent full-time basis.

This position will be based in Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements.


You will be primarily responsible for the timely and accurate advice and support for all people related queries for the business unit.

The role includes processing of HRIS (Workday and Avature) system activities including contracting, transfers, onboarding and offboarding processes.

You will be focused on providing an outstanding employee experience as the primary point of contact for policy and employment related queries.


How will I help?

Key accountabilities include:

  • Provide outstanding customer service telephone support, to stakeholders to answer generalist HR queries and provide advice related to employment related matters.
  • Promptly respond to and complete Workday workflow activities, ensuring both an efficient workflow and the highest levels of data accuracy at all times
  • Creation and management of employee related documentation including contracts and letters, ensuring accuracy and correctness of content and in accordance with Bupa policies and protocols
  • Investigate and resolve complaints and concerns a timely and effective manner, with particular focus on those which may impact employee pay
  • Maintain a solid understanding of employment legislation, applicable industrial awards and Bupa HR policies and practices to ensure that support and guidance provided is accurate

What do I need?

  • Experience with HRIS systems (Workday preferred)
  • Experience with Service Now or similar online case management tools
  • 12 years' experience within an operational HR administrative function
  • Qualifications in HR (Certificate IV, diploma or degree) and/or Business Administration, or similar is desirable
  • Experience in Customer Service or phonebased support roles within HR preferred
