About the opportunity


We have an opportunity for an experienced Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HS&W) Business Partner to join our collaborative, friendly and high performing HS&W team in Brompton, South Australia.


Reporting to the Group HS&W Manager, you'll support the implementation and effectiveness of safety management systems, processes and tools across Australia and New Zealand, fostering the ongoing development of a positive HS&W culture.


You'll work collaboratively with the broader HS&W team to deliver improvement initiatives aligned to the HS&W strategy and develop local improvement programs and practices to prevent injury and minimise risk.


On occasion, you'll be required to support the management of our internal security hardware and software and liaise with external security contractors for the provision of security services to our Australian sites.


In terms of specific responsibilities, you will:

  • Support and monitor the implementation, review, and development of WHS/IM systems including risk assessments and controls.
  • Implement and support the maintenance of the WHS/IM systems used with our selfinsurance license for South Australia.
  • Mentor and coach leaders in the operational delivery of the WHS and IM systems.
  • Report on business HS&W performance as required.
  • Engage, coach, and empower leaders at all levels to continually develop HS&W capability.
  • Support the local operational security, selfinsurance, injury management and WorkCover needs of the business.

About you

What you'll need:

  • Solid experience in a similar role, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • The ability to positively negotiate with and influence stakeholders to generate business benefit and maintain key relationships.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with a confident, tactful, and discreet approach.
  • The abilities to identify the developmental needs of others and coach to improve capability.
  • Tech savvy with the ability to use the MS Office suite and learn new systems quickly.
  • Welldeveloped written communication skills
  • A tertiary qualification in workplace health and safety management.
