Our Talent Acquisition team is entering an exciting chapter of redesign to ensure we are well positioned to build the workforce of the future.

You will play a key role in helping to shape the Talent Acquisition function and identify new ways of working.


As Talent Acquisition Specialist - Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Careers, you will focus on supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples to find meaningful employment within the Qantas Group; and supporting our commitments within our Reconciliation Action Plan.

This role will work closely with our Talent Acquisition team who recruit across various portfolios for both our Corporate and our Operational Business Units.

Your focus will be supporting our Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander talent throughout their recruitment journey for various positions and levels across the organisation.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in First Nations engagement including Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander cultural values and heritage
  • A demonstrated passion and commitment to helping create sustainable Indigenous careers
  • Extensive recruitment experience ideally from within a large, complex organisation
  • Sound experience influencing key decision makers and ability to engage individuals to foster an inclusive and supportive workplace culture
  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
  • Excellent written communication skills, coupled with well-developed accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
  • Strong problem-solving capability and the ability to exercise sound judgement
  • The ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
