    Company Description

    The Opportunity

    Based in Brisbane, you will lead and execute Category Management activities in line with specified guidelines and business requirements to confirm surety of supply and minimum supply risk for our business. You will work to ensure the value of commercial contracts are maximised whilst supporting operational safety, volume and cost targets. This will include:

    • Developing and executing sourcing activities contributing to the Business/Sites/Local/Project Supply Sourcing Plan.
    • Commercial ownership of all spend for all areas of Stanmore
    • Planning and executing portfolio of sourcing projects enabling category strategies and managing on-time delivery minimising disruption to the business operations.
    • Executing local category strategies and contract coverage to support Operational Strategies and process automation.
    • Applying Category Management & Purchasing processes in alignment to design intent, local operating procedures, audit & Group Level obligations.
    • Collecting requirements and analyses of key data inputs from multiple sources (internal and external) to build robust category and sourcing strategies mid to long-term.
    • Validating application of procedures for issuing and evaluating tenders.
    • Leading commercial negotiations with Suppliers, review contract award recommendations and contracts for approval and resolve supplier performance or contract issues.

    About You

    You will be an excellent communicator who is driven and flexible to work across a diverse range of commodities. If you have:

    • Min 5 years in a commercial/ Supply environment, (Mining & Metals preferred)
    • Minimum Diploma in Business, Commerce, Finance, Engineering or related disciplines
    • Strong experience in developing commercial strategies and leading high value strategic negotiations, strong understanding mining categories and ERP systems.
