YOUR ROLE


IAG have a rare opportunity for a Workers Compensation Claims Technical Advisor to join our CGU Technical Claims Services team.

This is a role within the CGU team to provide claims staff with guidance, support, and coaching in relation to technical and legal aspects of the claims management process in the Workers Compensation context.

The role provides detailed information and advice to the business regarding Legislative changes, legal precedents.

This includes recommendations for procedural enhancements and updates, optimal management of claims by reference to legal obligations, service standards and financial risk management.


ABOUT YOU

  • Able to effectively build and manage relationships with business partners
  • A record of success in managing technically complex Workers Compensation claims
  • Able to effectively analyse statistical data for claims trends
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Able to interpret and communicate changes in workers compensation case law & legislation
  • Technical Training needs analysis, coaching and facilitation
  • Sound, balanced judgement and decision making
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Law or Insurance (desired)
  • Sound knowledge of the Workers Compensation & Injury Management system, procedures and legislation (desired)
