Your new role:


The Facilities Workshop Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of in house Maintenance labour to support the Preventative and Reactive maintenance of Portable equipment and maintenance workshop activities for the shipyard as per the Maintenance Responsibility Matrix.

In addition to this, you will supervise the daily operations of employees performing maintenance and providing services supporting production


Additional Responsibilities:


  • Respond to maintenance requests and ensure appropriate resources are available in a timely manner.
  • Working with procurement to establish service providers relationships
  • Monitor safety, incidents, costs, provider performance, work backlogs and environmental issues.
  • Implement effective planned and preventative maintenance and repair processes.
  • Supervise the Maintenance teams required to deliver the services as per the MEX work orders.
  • Coordinate the overall maintenance of the facility across all maintenance lines and workshops.
  • Forecast, coordinate and allocate resources across all maintenance lines and workshops to achieve schedule /delivery requirements.

About you:


As an applicant for this opportunity, you'll have:

  • Australian Citizen with eligibility to obtain and maintain a defence security clearance.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Cert IV Trade Based qualifications in Electrical / Electronic / or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in an Maintenance and Shipbuilding environment.
  • Experience within a defence or naval or ship building environments.

Clearances:


As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.

International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
