In conjunction with delivering its Vision strategy, David Jones is currently in the middle of a multi-faceted and organisational wide transformation as it transitions to new ownership.

The Learning Experience Lead will drive inspiring Learning solutions that are aligned to our people strategy and our Thriving cultural aspirations.

Reporting to the Head of People Experience & Transformation, you will be responsible for creating engaging learning solutions that deliver on our learning strategy.

In collaboration with business partners and SME teams you will design pragmatic solutions that drive commercial outcomes and people capability priorities, with a core focus on building leadership, technical and other capabilities across the end-to-end people experience lifecycle.

With a hybrid mix of time at home, in our Melbourne based office, this role will suit an experienced Learning Design Leader with an interest in PX initiatives wanting to make a real impact in an iconic Australian luxury retailer.

What does the role involve?

Lead the learning experience design process, developing fit for purpose solutions
Use contemporary design methodologies to develop high quality learning solutions and resources, that improve performance, build leadership and technical capability
Bring learning content to life through development of engaging and creative experiences
Create a contemporary learning delivery approach suitable for multichannel delivery
Design and implement aspirational people experience (PX) initiatives to feed into overarching People Experience roadmap and plan.
Embedding agreed people initiatives through a shared partnering and design approach, working crossfunctionally
Collaborate with diverse groups to design/develop effective onboarding solutions that engage new hires early
Bring innovation and experimentation to capability solutions and contribute ideas to evolve the learning culture
Champion a holistic and multifaceted approach to People Experience across David Jones

Who are we looking for?

Dedicated experience developing learning, training and/or capability development content
Strong understanding of Human Centred design
Ability to think creatively around learning with a multichannel delivery approach
An ability to influence via strong relationships across a wide range of stakeholders
Has proven experience designing multifaceted learning programs with a PX focus
Ability to navigate complexity and deliver at pace with the agility to iterate continuously
Agile mindset with adaptable communication skillsExperience in using authoring tools, such as Articulate 360.
Degree qualification within learning, training and/or design with a passion for the fasted paced consumer environments are highly regarded
