About the roleDuties, under direct or indirect supervision of senior specialists, will include:
- Provision of obstetric services to women presenting to the birth suite including review of CTG, fetal blood sampling, perineal repair, instrumental and Caesarean birth.
- Provision of medical care to inpatients under the obstetrics and gynaecology team.
- Review of patients with acute gynaecological presentations in the emergency department.
- Opportunity to perform supervised operative procedures in obstetrics and gynaecology including Caesarean section, D&C, Mirena insertion, laparoscopic management of ectopic pregnancy
- Supervised care of outpatients, including antenatal, general gynaecology, pelvic health, vulvoscopy and colposcopy
- Teaching and supervision of RMOs

- Medical degree with eligibility for appropriate registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
