Overview
The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for expediting all purchase orders to agreed schedule and escalating where necessary, with a specific focus on low stock items.
The key objectives for this role are:
- Ensure customer order fill rates are in line with agreed KPIs
- Expedite purchase order fulfilment from suppliers, reviewing outstanding orders on a daily basis and progressing these with the relevant suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance to improve lead times and customer serviceability
- Liaise with other internal PSCM teams to discuss product stock situation and requirements
- Update and communicate due dates on customer orders and ensure these are communicated via the Health Service Support Team and fulfilled.
- Implement and update KPIs and Reporting
- Liaise with Purchasing and Procurement team to find alternative items when required and facilitate the delivery of samples to customers.
- Communicate with the Demand Planning team daily to provide updates on purchase order fulfilment and nil stock situation.
- Complying with industry and regulatory inventory management standards and practices.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of inventory control procedures and practices
Criminal History Screening Requirement
- National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups required for this position (general employment)
Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category C (mínimal patient contact)
COVID-19 vaccination may be an essential requirement under the Public Health Act 2011 (Healthcare Setting Workers Vaccination) (COVID-19) to work in SA Health/health care setting.
