JOB LEVEL:***- SFIA 4JP2289 is a rapidly growing 6 year project within ASD to build and uplift ASD systems and support organisation elements for the introduction of Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities, communities and tactical users into the information environment. Project activities include expanding the existing network, computing systems, complex gateway services, cloud services, mission services, data management services, and deployable systems. JP2289 is executing a highly innovative delivery strategy enabling multi-classification working and a partnership between the ASD and Defence enterprises.

To facilitate project outcomes, ASD has a requirement for a Security Operations Specialist.

This role will monitor the SOC toolsets identifying gaps and anomalies in IT system activity, create and develop use cases to provide context and a framework for ongoing monitoring and anomaly detection within ICT systems, identify security events, escalate potential incidents.

The role will also assist with incident response activities and the documentation of security activities and specialist advice on areas of ongoing monitoring in both developing and existing systems.
