Laverton North, Melbourne


Opportunity for a
Commercial Manager to join our Resource & Industrials division, where you will provide commercial leadership, support and advice to the Senior Commercial Manager and Senior Leaders across the Chemical business on business related decisions that impact profitability, customer retention and business growth.


You will provide quality financial advice and analysis to support business decision making, as well work with the site and Chemical Leadership team to identify and, where required, drive the Business improvement initiatives.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Ensure the timely and accurate production of weekly & monthly profit and loss reports.
  • Review and analyse site results and make recommendations to improve performance.
  • Assist business managers, Senior commercial managers and leadership team with annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Support the preparation of CAPEX reviews, business case and submissions timely.
  • Preparation of new business proposals, capital expenditure to ensure investment proposals meet business unit, divisional and corporate compliance requirements.
  • Commercial oversight of customer agreements, business contracts and other legally binding arrangements.

Qualifications:


To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role, as a management accountant/commercial analyst with strong financial analysis and cost modelling skills.
  • Sound knowledge across logistics/transport/warehousing.
  • Strong communication, client engagement and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly developed, proven analytical and problem solving skills with a solution orientation
  • Intermediate/advanced MS office skills, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint


  • Tertiary degree qualified

  • CPA advantageous.
