Established for over 70 years, people2people have partnered with a national, Australian owned-and-operated business who are now looking for an experienced HR Generalist looking to take a step up into a HR Business Partner role.


About the role

Reporting to the Senior HR Manager, the purpose of the HR Business Partner is to provide advice and support to employees and managers on human resources, workplace relations and recruitment for Queensland branches while assisting in the roll out of National HR projects.

This role will see you responsible for

  • Implementation of national HR strategy and action plans
  • Provide input into national HR strategy
  • Provide reports to management on HR measures recruitment, retention, turnover, leave
  • Write articles for company intranet
  • Develop and implement communications plans for project changes
  • Develop recruitment strategies for vacancies
  • Endtoend recruitment advertising, screening, interviewing, references, right to work checks
  • Employee onboarding and offboarding
  • Update and maintain information in HR system
  • Develop learning and development strategies and action plans
  • Implementation of training programs
  • Workforce planning and budgeting
  • Biannual succession planning
  • Salary benchmarking and reviewing
  • Along with other duties relating to employee relations, HRIS, Safety & Workers Compensation, Policies & Procedures, Conduct, Culture & Values
  • Travel to multiple sites across Queensland will be required._

Selection criteria
To be successful in this role you will have

  • Previous experience working within a HR Generalist/Advisor position preferably gained within a trade/blue collar industry
  • Relevant HR/ER qualifications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work well autonomously
  • Business acumen and willingness to learn
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
