- Enhance Johns Lyng and Regional Builders reputation with external stakeholders.
- Develop and improve skills in the management of workload, time, and resources.
- Arrange for quotations to be called from Subcontractors, coordinate and participate in post tender negotiations. Recommend preferred Subcontractors for Construction/ Project Manager approval. Compile subcontract documents for signing and ensure the safekeeping of signed originals. Obtain signed subcontracts at all times.
- Assess and approve subcontractor progress claims for work completed. Review, approve and monitor currency of all Subcontractor insurance and statutory requirements. Currency of documentation required EasyBuild will assist.
- Coordinate with the Estimating Manager / Site Manager, the preparation and review of the project monthly report. Actively participate in project forecasting.
- Manage the administration of all variations to the Head Contract and variations submitted/claimed by subcontractors. Advise Operations / Estimating Manager of any disputed Head Contract claims or Subcontractor claims.
- Formal qualifications in Civil Engineering / Construction. In some instance, relevant industry experience will be accepted in lieu of formal qualification.
- Commercial Building experience highly regarded, however not essential
- Excellent communication skills – both written & verbal
- Experience as a Contracts Administrator
- Ability to build effective relationships with both internal & external stakeholders
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to be empathetic to the needs of the client
- Good work ethic & highly motivated
- Strong computer skills & sound knowledge of Microsoft Project & Office programs
- Ability to manage multiple & competing priorities
- Current & valid motor vehicle licence
- Demonstrated negotiation and analytical skills.
- The versatility to adapt to changing conditions and working environments.
