Preston location, close to public transport

An opportunity has arisen within the Supported and Connected Living Department to oversee the operational day to day service provision of Council's Community Transport, Home Maintenance and Delivered Meals contract.

This position reports to the Coordinator of the Ageing Well Unit and has a lead role in the supervision and support of Independent Living Team staff.

About the Role

The Team Leader Community Transport, Home Maintenance and Delivered Meals supervises, supports and develops the staff providing services for Home Maintenance, Community Transport and the Food Services contract.

Facilitate and continuously improve the provision of services and provide support to new and existing clients of the Supported and Connected Living Department
Oversee, monitor, maintain and continuously improve Community Transport, Home Maintenance/Modifications and the Delivered Meals contract service provision
Supervise, support and develop capacity of the Home Maintenance, Community Transport and other Independent Living Program Team staff
Oversee, foster and continuously improve safe practice, with solutionfocussed approaches to optimise service flexibility

**Skills & Experience

Demonstrated experience in leading and supporting a team
Good understanding of services including Community Transport, Home Maintenance/Modifications and Food Services
Knowledge of client management system Carelink plus (advantage)
Working knowledge of issues and trends within Aged Care services and an ability to work collaboratively with other teams internally and external agencies to identify and resolve issues
Ability to develop solutions to continuously improve systems, work processes and practices in a collaborative manner
