Job Description:
The Role

Our Buildings & Places Team in Perth are currently looking for a Defence Market Sector Lead.
You will be a highly experienced professional who can develop and manage key relationships within Defence (Security and Estate Group) and with aligned partners to deliver engineering and multidisciplinary services to the Defence sector.
About You
This is a business development and project delivery role with pipeline across varied Defence projects and a future opportunity to work across a diverse range of other market sectors.
- Relevant qualifications in Project Management or Engineering, such as a Bachelor of Engineering
- At least 12 years of prior and proven exposure to clientside Project Management consulting, specifically within Defence projects
- A demonstrable understanding of State and Federal Government project management frameworks
- Proven commitment to collaborative, ethical behaviour in a clientfacing environment
- Strong capability in managing projects autonomously while working closely with clients as a key advisor in contract administration, scheduling, costing and tender submissions
- Commitment to safety and understanding of OH&S best practice and obligations
- Demonstrated experience working as part of a multidisciplinary project team on complex multimilliondollar projects with responsibility for outcomes
- Knowledge and understanding of Defence procurement processes. Ability to provide strategic advice to clients and oversee procurement processes
- Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to develop comprehensive reports and submissions
- Experience with administering contracts and overseeing the work of contractors, including negotiating variations and managing progress claims.

- Exposure to Defence projects is essential
