What we do

Jewish Care Victoria, a not-for-profit organisation, is the largest provider of aged and community services for the Jewish Community in Victoria.

Services include Aged Residential Care, Assessment Referral and Individual Support Services, Community Aged Care, Disability, Mental Health, Youth and Family Services and Holocaust Survivors Programs.


What you will do

As EA to the Director:

Clinical Governance, Risk & Experience, the Director: Disability & Social Services and the Director: Aged Care Services, you will provide high-level administrative and customer related support to ensure the efficient and effective management of these portfolios.

Reporting to the Executive Officer, this position will involve close and collaborative interaction with the counterpart Executive Assistant and the wider Executive Leadership Team.

The role is based primarily at 619 St Kilda Road, Melbourne and is a 9-day per fortnight position.


What you will bring

  • Ability to develop and maintain quality relationships with the Executive Officer and the Executive team and middle management
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully providing confidential and high level secretarial support to senior executives
  • Demonstrated initiative, drive, energy, confidence and personal organisational skills
  • Demonstrable quality written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness
  • Ability to work as part of a dynamic team and maintain a high level of confidentiality

Essential

  • Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in an Executive Assistant position.
  • Advanced computer skills using MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.
  • Excellent administrative and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with people effectively and uphold corporate values.

Desirable

  • Understanding of the Jewish culture and community, or willingness to develop understanding
