We are seeking a
Technology Trainer for a 6 -month full time contract with one of our government clients.


A significant portion of this role will be to support the induction of incoming staff as a result of Machinery of Government.

This will include reviewing current training materials and resources, and creating/updating short training videos and accoompanying documentation.


Regular activities of the role will include maintaining the Working Digitally Learning Modules in clients Learning Management System, maintaining the shared knowledge space for technology support (Digital Workplace Learning Hub) and creating further materials, training and learning opportunities as needed.

Accountabilities

  • Create deliver and support learning and development content, regularly assessing and adapting where required (e.g. Guides, videos, eLearns and other resources).
  • Evaluate learning and development programs, identifying gaps in capability and ongoing strategies to support and train staff.
  • Consult on projects to develop learning and development strategies, working with Change Managers and Business Analysts where necessary.
  • Engage with other Trainers where necessary to set up, manage and report on learning and development programs.
  • Advise the Support Desk on current learning materials and support strategies.
  • Act as a Facilitator or Coach in problemsolving for enterprise products where necessary and identify learning gaps.
  • To practice cultural safety by creating environments, relationships, and systems free from racism and discrimination so that people can feel safe, valued and able to participate.
Key Selection Criteria

The key selection criteria specified below outline the capabilities required for the position.


Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Qualification in Training and Assessment (or equivalent certification in instructional design, training or teaching) required.
  • Knowledge of common learning development platforms (e.g. Camtasia, Articulate 360) required.
  • Ability to deliver live training in hybrid/classroom/virtual environments (preferably MS Teams) required.
  • Experience in facilitating stakeholder groups and workshops is desired.
  • Experience in video and/or audio development will be considered.
