ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance Officer is responsible for providing comprehensive payroll services to the organisation.

This includes the compilation and preparation of fortnightly and monthly payroll as per the appropriate award agreement or remuneration plan, calculating commission payments, management of salary sacrifice arrangements and any additional payroll requests.


Playing a significant role in the monthly closure of accounts, the Finance Officer is responsible for AIB's OLF payment management, processing payroll journals, reconciling AIB's unearned income account, maintaining the fixed asset register and processing other month end journals related to their role.


Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Processing of fortnightly and monthly payroll along with the accurate payment of Superannuation, Payroll Tax and PAYG obligation
  • Being up to date with changes in payroll related legal requirements
  • Creating and updating vendor records
  • Management of the Fixed Asset register
  • The reconciliation of AIB's unearned income accounts monthly and processing any adjustments to these accounts, as required
  • Ensure accurate and timely month end processing including journals and the reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts
  • Other tasks assigned by the Finance Manager during busy periods
  • Compliance with external auditor requests, when applicable

ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate:

  • 2-3 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Understanding of processes required.
  • Ability to communicate both orally and written with people at all levels.
  • Highly organized, flexible and proactive approach to the work environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products.
