An exciting opportunity exists for a clinician with a strong interest in and commitment to Mental Health to join the very experienced Early Intervention Community Mental Health Team at Royal North Shore Hospital (RNS) Community Health Centre

Lower North Shore (LNS) Early Intervention Service (EIS), Royal North Shore (RNS) Community Health Centre


What you'll be doing
Providing specialist treatment to people aged 18-30years who are at risk of, or are experiencing psychosis.


_People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply._

  • Current AHPRA registration for relevant discipline
  • Psychology, Occupational Therapist, Registered Nurse, Eligibility for membership with AASW for Social Workers.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and demonstrated experience in the Mental Health Drug and Alcohol context, with a sound understanding of the contemporary issues and challenges in MHDA clinical service delivery.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the principles of Early Intervention in First Episode Psychosis and knowledge of best practice early intervention guidelines for consumers aged years.
  • Case management/care coordination skills, demonstrated group skills in running therapeutic and psychoeducational groups, targeting consumers, families and carers of young people.
  • Demonstrated experience of comprehensive mental health assessment and skills in suicide risk assessment and management.
  • Proficient in working with data systems and computer skills, in particular knowledge of Microsoft Office Word software and eMR (Power Chart).
  • Current NSW Driver's licence and Working with Children Check
