Roles and Responsibility

Strategy

  • Managing operational performance on a day to day basis


  • Handle transaction processing

  • Trade Finance, Payments and Deposits
  • Assist in client queries, servicerelated issues, request for advice, data and reporting etc.

Business

  • Focus on delivering excellent service by understanding client needs and exceeding their expectations
  • Deliver proactive and reliable service to clients

Processes

  • Country Specialists with indepth knowledge of the local market, and a deep network of internal and external contacts
  • Country Representative with strong presentation and clientfacing skills.

People and Talent

  • No People management responsibilities

Risk Management

  • Comply with applicable Money Laundering Prevention Procedures and, in particular, report any suspicious activity to the Unit Money Laundering Prevention Officer and Line Manager.
  • Adhere to policies including escalation and compliance requirements, and follow any other relevant internal controls and procedures as they relate to process, products, policies and regulations

Governance

  • Ensure appropriate internal controls and procedures including ORF framework are in place and clearly documented. Monitor the operation of such procedures and controls, and regularly review them to ensure they reflect changes in process, products, policies and regulations.
  • Management of system security matrix and system testing
  • Ensure the team's adherence to policies including escalation and compliance requirements.

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Other Responsibilities

  • Service the Exports clients
  • Acquire quotes from relevant countries for Letter of credit confirmation
  • Organising precheck of documents and advise rectifications
  • Facilitate the routing of original documents to the booking location
  • Advise the client on documents / transaction status
  • Bank Guarantees
  • Handle Standby LCs / Bank Guarantee Issuances under Syndicated and Bi-Lateral facilities
  • Advise the client on the Guarantee / Standby LC status
  • Build trusted partnership with clients at the daily transactional / operational level through
  • Proactive updates on outstanding issues
  • Understanding client expectations and needs for quality client services
  • 1 + Years of experience in banking
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Questioning skills
  • Good analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Able to recognize basic styles of customer behaviour and how to adapt each style to create positive relationship
  • Able to identify and manage both transactional and operational risks
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Adept at data collection, analysis and reporting
