Description

Proactive Services Team Lead - Woolworths Western Sydney Area**:
**We are currently recruiting a Proactive Services Team Lead for the Rosehill, Emu Plains, Mt Druitt and Newington stores.

Here at Woolies, we have a team called Proactive Services team that ensures trolleys are available to use and that our stores are in pristine condition - this enables our Customers (and your colleagues) to experience an environment that is hygienically clean to work and shop in.

You'll work side-by-side with your team whilst bringing a little good to everyone, every day.

What this role does:

Reporting in to the Group Manager, you'll lead a group of Team Members (between 5- 11 depending on the store size) to deliver our trolley collection and cleaning services to a set store.

You and the team will collect trolleys from specific locations along with completing the set daily tasks associated with the store cleaning and waste services.

As the Team Lead you'll develop your leadership capability by delivering all the people-related activities for your team (recruiting, rostering and coaching).

Other things you'll do:

  • Act as a coach and mentor to your team and develop their skills across trolley collection, cleaning and waste support
  • Set the team's roster to ensure coverage of the daily tasks and operations list.
  • Work in partnership with the Store Leadership team to understand any challenges, areas of opportunity and upcoming priorities
  • Interact with our Customers which may include showing them to the relevant shopping aisle or assisting in the cleanup of an accidental spill in an aisle
  • Liaise between Support Office, Store Leadership Teams, team Members and Customers excellent communication and interpersonal skills is a must

What we are looking for:

It's important to note that this is a physically demanding role that requires you to work in and outside of your store in different elements (e.g. shop floor, fridges, freezers, carparks, etc) so it is essential that you are comfortable with these aspects of the role.

Ideally you'll already have some form of supervisory or team leader experience, however if you're an aspiring Team Leader we would very much encourage you to apply

This role is all about developing your leadership skills and so you'll have direct support from your Group Manager to help guide you as you develop this skill set.

Some other attributes that will help you succeed in the role:

  • A good eye for cleanliness and small details
  • Confidence to engage and partner with other Department Managers, Store Leadership, Group and Zone Services Managers, to plan and coordinate routines & timeframes
  • Organisational skills to ensure your team always has the equipment and consumables they need to work safely and efficiently
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including at least one early start, one late start, and oneweekend shift (so you are across the full scope of work and your team during the week)
  • Comfortable working with a regulated framework (Food Safety, industrial regulations, code of conducts etc)
  • Some of our Woolworths Supermarkets stores will have some very cool Electric Vehicles to assist with the trolley collection so a full valid Drivers License is helpful (although not a prerequisite).

When you will be needed:

This full time salaried role is best suited to an individual with flexible availability to work across early mornings, days, and late nights Monday to Sunday.
