About the Role:


The Manager, Dog and Cat Management provides high level secretariat advice and strategic direction to the Dog and Cat Management Board, high level policy development and relationship building (at State and National level) and leadership and management of the Dog and Cat Management Unit staff and operations, including finance and budgets, human resources (including performance management, training and development), procurement and other administrative/ corporate arrangements.


Specifically, the role provides leadership and support in relation to the operational planning, monitoring and management of dogs and cats in accordance with the Dog and Cat Management Act 1995, the Dog and Cat Management Board's Strategic Plan, priority actions and objectives.

The Manager, Dog and Cat Management plays an integral role in influencing the successful delivery of legislative and policy changes through leadership and project management.

Contract:

Contract for up to 3 Years


Special Conditions:


  • May be required to participate in fire management or associated duties.
  • A current class "C" driver's licence is essential.
  • Demonstrates ability to work alone and be selfreliant.
  • May be required to undertake intra or interstate travel and work outside of the normal hours of work.

Remuneration:

CLASSIFICATION MAS3 $125,970 max p.a.
