This large Australian owned food production business has product placed in all the major retailers. They have a need to hire a Group Procurement Manager that will report through to the CEO.

This experienced leader will own all aspects of Procurement across the organisation, including the sourcing of packaging, film, dry goods, cartons and ingredients.

The individual will likely come from an FMCG or a Packaging environment and will have probably worked in mid-sized businesses that have seen them have a broad remit.

Overseeing all Procurement operations across business
Purchasing goods from suppliers
Reviewing all SOPs across the Procurement function to ensure best practice
Identifying alternative sourcing options finding fit for purpose solutions for the businesses packaging and carton needs
Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
Negotiating commercial agreements
Developing project timelines for the onboarding of new packaging or product
Monitoring supplier performance
Ensuring stock level at optimized at any given point.

It is important that this person has broad experience managing Master Data and stock levels, to ensure there is no disruption in the production processes or supply chain.

They will work hand in hand with Planning, Sales and Marketing teams to ensure procurement is across every aspect of the business.

They will manage upto 20 providers and a portfolio of some 300 SKUs. They will also be tech savvy, ideally with experience of Microsoft Dynamics or other major ERPs.
