Job Description for ANZ Senior Financial Analyst

    Summary
Reporting to the Area Controller and supporting the Area General Manager. This is a key business partnering role.


This is a commercially oriented role with a key focus on financial and operational execution and support of an Area sales team.


Responsibilities include deal structuring, development and implementation of commercial practices & guidelines, escalation point for Area operational issues, forecast process, analysing key financial metrics, quarterly & annual planning, Business Case development.


This role would suit an energetic finance professional who enjoys working closely within a Go To Market (GTM) Sales Organisation, and who has experience of the end-to-end Finance function that supports a GTM Model.


Responsibilities
- work closely with regional Sales Managers as well as Area GM: Medium term strategy, organization, staffing, quota setting, resource planning & OPEX management.

  • Increase field productivity by further development & execution of standardised processes & tools
  • Promote, design, review and educate strong commercial practices and guidelines in Area Sales teams
  • Member of negotiation team on key customer contracts, direct as well as indirect
  • Working with the Compliance team, responsible for ensuring compliance training is completed and understood by staff and partners
  • Liaison/coordination with relevant staff function: Legal, Revenue, Sales Support, Channels, Compliance etc
  • Drive profitable growth through strategic analysis, field coaching & business case development.
  • Support in managing weekly Sales forecast cadence, ensuring that reporting and visibility of the required information is available for business planning and decisionmaking. Advocate and facilitate the use of SFDC to enhance control.
  • Assist with Revenue and OpEx forecasting
  • Support Area overlay teams and their strategies/projects, i.e. Channels (esp. Carrier Resale/Managed Services), Customer Service, and Tradeup Programs
  • Contribute to market analysis, budgeting, resource planning & quarterly ops reviews (QBR's)
  • Support Field Finance & Ops & SSC teams as required eg:
  • Support AR collection issues to closure
  • Ensure documentation for Deferred Revenue, Customer acceptance and Drop Ship fulfillment is timely accurate and considered

Other Areas of support:

  • Deal structuring, pricing and approvals
  • Return Material (RMA) requests,
  • Orders cancellations/Amendments
  • Quota setting/changes
  • OpEx Management
  • Disti activities in relation to Finance
  • Rev Rec management

Experience required:

5+ years of experience in Finance and Operations

Qualified Accountant (Or working towards)

Able to demonstrate a successful track record in similar role

IT industry experience is essential and Networking experience is desirable

Excellent communication skills required

Able to influence senior management

Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to perform process analysis with the emphasis on efficiency and process improvement

Able to work within a dynamic Sales environment

Able to work cross functionally and under pressure


System Experience
Proficient in Excel/Word/PPT

SAP, SFDC and Tableau experience desirable
