    Our Investment Advisory practice provides a broad service including advice, monitoring, reporting and administration to a wide variety of clients, from high-net-worth individuals to institutional and not-for-profit clients. We cover a large range of asset classes and investment products, including listed securities and managed funds.

    About the role

    The Banking/Treasury Analyst is required to provide high quality banking support to the Investment Advisory, Superannuation, Family Office and Private Client groups. The banking tasks include electronic payment for securities purchased, term deposits, client requests, invoices, ATO fees and payments as instructed by clients.

    Additional tasks include drawing/depositing cheques, reconciling and arranging manager and partner payment authorization to enable daily processing of payments. The role also requires an element of project support as the division is currently transitioning to new banking platform.

    Key responsibilities

    • Monitor and review performance changes in investment products
    • Review and revise investment plans
    • Modify investment plans based on rate changes in the market
    • Create comparisons of investment performance based on changes in markets to be used for investment plans
    • Supporting trade executions (buying and selling of stocks and bonds)
    • Managing the cashflow of client accounts through developing strategies to plan for future impacts achieving the financial objectives
    • For super fund and trust clients, manage the funds raised and other banking operations
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations by maintaining up-to-date client portfolio information for internal and external purposes
    • Directing the collection of financial and investment information by preparing accurate and timely reporting to internal and external parties
    • Make informed recommendations to clients for optimizing their investment portfolio
    • Responsible for banking operations, including managing accounts, transactions, and ensuring efficient cash flow to address client short-term and long-term liquidity needs
    • Stay informed about investment products available, or any market changes, for client portfolios to enhance profitability
    • Manage and oversee assets on behalf of clients across various divisions, to ensure sufficient level of liquidity and good investment returns for client portfolios. This involves evaluating investment options and making data-driven decisions in asset management
    • Conduct analysis on nature and structure of client entities, to ensure eligibility for investment options.

    The salary package for this role is $65,000 – $80,000, dependent upon experience.

    Proven administrator

    Previous experience in a banking or administration role within a financial planning/investment services environment. You will have strong administrative skills and are able to communicate confidently with stakeholders at all levels.

    Relevant software skills

    You will have advanced Microsoft Office skills and have experience working with financial planning software (e.g. Xplan)

    Positive team player

    You will possess strong attention to detail and the ability to work a part of a team is also a must. You will work closely with advisors and play a crucial part in the team.
