This position will play a huge part in this ambition, generating opportunities and managing the development / permitting of Large-Scale Solar projects in Australia & New Zealand.

To generate business, develop solar, wind and/or BESS projects and carry out supplementary tasks to ensure that the Business Development team reach their set targets.

To manage the development of a portfolio of in-house developed, introduced and/or acquired projects from initiation to financial close.

To develop new business opportunities.

To develop strong working relationships and liaise closely with other business divisions including engineering, planning, grid, project management, legal and finance to assist in the development of projects.

Assist other developers by carrying out supporting activities when needed.

To understand and develop company strategies and develop business and business practices accordingly.

To work with the Development team and other departments to improve processes and efficiency.

In addition, the Employee will perform such other duties, appropriate to the position as the Company may from time to time require.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills required.

Understanding of renewables industry, energy and environmental issues.

Technical understanding of solar, wind and BESS development and construction.

Understanding of environmental planning constraints.

Understanding of commercial activities including financial models, funding arrangements and legals.

Varied experience in private and public sector, showing adaptability and ability to learn quickly.
