Key Responsibilities
The key objective of the Technical Consultant role is to ensure architectural and technical integrity of the client Program and its projects.
- Leading complex solution architecture activities, such as service design, high level reviews of the implementation, data migration planning and implementation, planning for operational support, and identifying and coordinating the resolution of technical problems impacting the Program
- Ensuring the deliverables and outcomes of each project within the Program contribute to the overall solution design, resolving conflicts when they arise and escalating risks, dependencies and constraints to the Project Managers, Program Manager and Program Solution Architect
- Preparing and presenting solution architecture documentation for review by Strategic Technical Architecture Group to validate the Program's approach to achieving the shortterm and longterm objectives of the platform.
- Maintaining alignment with ICTS operational requirements, particularly around data governance, integration, change and release management, and transitioning to support.
- Representing client's interests regarding solution design and delivery and data migration with internal and external partners and service providers, such as the implementation and support partners of each impacted service.
Desirable skills and knowledge
- Knowledge of The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), with preference for certification, will be well regarded.
- Experience with modelling languages, including ArchiMate and UML
- Experience working with Software as a Service (SaaS) and/or Platform as a Service (PaaS)
- Experience with financial systems, in particular sub ledger payment systems
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience and achievements in providing architecture services across multiple projects in a government environment.
- Demonstrated experience with modelling architecture concepts using languages such as ArchiMate or UML, preferably within an architecture repository such as iServer.
- Demonstrated experience preparing and presenting design briefs to mixed audiences, technical and nontechnical including senior executives.
- Demonstrated ability to design, develop and deliver innovative solutions and working flexibly in your work and willing to undertake related tasks.
- Demonstrated customer focused approach, a collaborative style, effective communication skills, and proactive stakeholder management.
