About the role


We are looking for an Applications Specialist to join our Core Processes and Knowledge Management team based in Perth at our Central Park Office.

You'll provide technical leadership to support the development team in creating major Web Applications to support Rio Tinto Iron Ore that are aligned with objective and strategy.

The role focuses on providing decision making and technical guidance during the product development lifecycle.

You'll work Monday-Friday, which will give you more time to spend on the things that are important to you and the people in your life.


Reporting to the Superintendent Product Development, you will:

  • Provide line leadership and management of the Web Applications Team
  • Deliver on Web Applications projects aligned to team strategy and direction
  • Support existing Web Applications products to our Core Processes and Knowledge Management team

What you'll bring

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • Advocate for a culture that embraces neurodiversity, inclusivity, and mutual respect
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure or a similar cloud platform)
  • Excellent communication skills to communicate effectively with range of stakeholders
  • Understanding of the mining process is preferrable but not essential
