About the role
We are seeking a Transport Planner to join our thriving Sydney team to work on a range of exciting projects in Sydney and across Australia.
You will be responsible for undertaking a range of responsibilities, from; complex problem solving and innovation, information analysis, report writing and client engagement and liaison.
You will primarily work within the transport planning team both in Sydney and nationally. This will see you work with some of the foremost traffic and transport experts in Australia.Projects vary in size and type which presents a variety of projects and work with a large and passionate group of professionals.
Your role will also involve working across disciplines with our transportation team including engineering, design and _analytics._Day to day tasks would involve:
- Analyse data and summarise key messages independently, using Excel spreadsheets and similar tools
- Review strategic documents and extracting key information
- Prepare reports or inputs into reports in succinct, easy to understand English balancing technical language with descriptive _language._
- Prepare maps using ArcGIS _software._
- Prepare client presentations using PowerPoint that visualise key facts and messages from the _project._
- Liaise with clients and participate in client meetings
- Develop client solutions as part of the project team
Qualifications
To be successful for this role you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering/ Transport or Urban Planning
- Proven experience in transport planning
- Ability to engage effectively, be handson and driven to deliver, especially government projects.
- Ability to describe complex transport issues in an easy to understand and presentable manner.
- Desire to work across multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in data extraction, evaluation and analysis
- GIS skills (ArcGIS)(desirable)
