In support of our clients in the western suburbs of Brisbane, we are looking for a mechanical fitter to join their team in 2023 for a permanent opportunity.

The key responsibilities for the role will include but are not limited to the following:

Complete all assigned tasks in an accurate and timely manner
Complete all tasks in accordance with relevant Codes, Standards, specifications, drawings, guidelines and company procedures.
Work from instructions and procedures safely and efficiently.
Operate all appropriate materials handling equipment safely.
Operate lifting equipment safely at all times.
Work with others effectively to complete tasks on time.
Carry out cleaning duties as required.
Strip down, inspect and rebuild parts and equipment
Fault finding
Fill out the appropriate paperwork as instructed.

Tickets, licences and experience

Certificate III in Engineering
Mechanical Trade (Fitting and/or Machining).
At least three years of experience in a similar role.
Current forklift Ticket.
Dogging and rigging tickets are preferable.
Ability to Strip, visually and dimensionally inspect and diagnose faults in equipment.
Able to use and read micrometres metric and imperial.
Basic Hydraulics knowledge is preferable.
