RFP/RFQ focus across goods and services

A newly created Procurement Manager opportunity has been created by one of our publicly listed clients. The procurement team is growing as a result of increased tender activity. This role is offered initially as a 6-month contract that can be based in either Sydney or Melbourne.

The role will support the Head of Procurement across all its supplier market activity. The team has the vision to be a _centre of excellence_ that delivers above expectation commercial outcomes. The Head of Procurement is an industry recognised leader. The procurement function is supported by the CFO and CEO of the Australian business.

Key responsibilities

Take an active role in driving procurement strategy against short, mid, and long terms plans.

Initiate and manage several RFP/RFQ's across a varied portfolio of goods and services. Total spend is $120M.

Projects will include IT/ technology platforms, FM, consultancy services and general smaller RFQ's for Indirects.

Manage and achieve total cost of ownership solutions as identified in the Procurement Plan and subsequent sub-category plans.

Work with managers in providing strong market and supplier data to optimise the best outcomes from the teams "go to market" activity.

Manage all contracted supplier compliance to ensure expected cost benefits are realised.

The person

Ideally a procurement manager with at least - 8 years relevant experience working in a head office, corporate environment.

Demonstrable qualities in drafting tender documents.

Ideally with an analysis and reporting background with the ability to gather data and make high level but informed views of spend and savings opportunities.

Experience in contract preparation, Contract negotiation/execution, Contract management, Supplier development/management
