Description

Seeking an experienced Civil package Delivery Manager for a leading portfolio of projects centred on the production of renewable hydrogen, ammonia, minerals and other value-added products.

This role will focus specifically on the development of a green ammonia facility at Gibson Island, Brisbane, through construction of a hydrogen production facility and refurbishment of an existing gas-based ammonia production facility, owned and operated by others.


The Package Delivery Manager has ultimate accountability for delivery of the package assigned, ensuring the work undertaken by the contractor or vendor meets the project expectations on safety, quality, technical compliance, cost, and schedule.

They will also proactively manage interfaces and mitigate issues ensuring seamless package integration into the overall project including working with the Engineering, Approvals, Construction and Contracts and Procurement teams.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Contractor and vendor package management during feasibility, detailed design, execution, commissioning, and startup phases.
  • When required, ensure the change control process is followed, and estimate the cost and schedule impact of the change.
  • Collaboration with the Contracts and Procurement team to provide budget allocations for packages of work and assess potential change orders and variations.
  • Analyse monthly package cost reports, assessing the approved budgets, commitments, expenditures, forecasts, paid to date and amounts outstanding.
  • Participate in contract tender evaluations.
  • Manage interfaces between Vendors, Contractors and third parties to achieve an agreeable outcome.
  • Contribute to building a frugal costconscious attitude throughout the project team.
  • Achieve and maintain effective communication with the project delivery team, and other internal and external stakeholders at all times.
  • Carry out additional tasks as may be required from time to time by the Project Delivery Manager.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or equivalent

Knowledge, skills, and experience:


  • 10+ years' experience in project engineering, package management or project management, from feasibility studies through to startup.
  • Intermediate skills in the management of specialised packages for a multidiscipline green field project.
  • Effective interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Ability to problemsolve effectively.
  • Strong analytical, literacy and numerical skills.
  • Advanced knowledge in the use of Excel software.
  • Good understanding of planning, scheduling and project controls.
  • Strong understanding of project reporting regimes and inputs to weekly and monthly reports.
  • Right to work in Australia.
