About the Role:


The Principal Communications and Content Advisor is responsible for driving and delivering on a range of complex high-profile communications and engagement outcomes across the department.

The role ensures that well planned and implemented communications strategies achieve strategic business objectives, and stakeholders are appropriately engaged in matters that interest or affect them.

The Principal Communications and Content Advisor is responsible for ongoing strategic leadership and project management of one or more of DEW's state-wide communications channels, with a strong emphasis on DEW's various websites and social media channels.

The Principal Communications and Content Advisor will ensure DEW's business is well represented, using editorial judgement, evaluations, metrics and high-quality editing skills to help the Branch deliver timely, engaging content.

Contract:

Contract for up to 30 June 2025.


Desirable Qualifications:

A qualification in communications or a related discipline is desirable.


Special Conditions:


  • May be required to participate in fire management or associated duties.
  • May be required to work outside of normal hours, including on weekends.
  • Intrastate and interstate travel necessitating overnight absences may be required.

Remuneration:

ASO7 $106,512 min - $115,137 max p.a.
