We are looking for someone to job share the HR Business Partner position at VCAT.


VCAT services a diverse range of Victorian disputes, from residential tenancy matters to complex building and property and human rights matters, which have a deep reach into the Victorian community and a direct impact on the economy, in particular, in planning, property, health and small business.


The People Culture and Wellbeing (PCW) function is responsible for ensuring that VCAT's workforce has the appropriate culture, health and wellbeing plan, capability and organisation design to meet the strategic objectives of VCAT.


In this role, you will be responsible for providing effective advice and guidance to the business on all aspects of human resources and support the implementation of HR initiatives designed to achieve VCAT's strategic objectives.

This includes delivering customer support and authoritative advice on HR policy and practices and offer solutions aligned with organisational priorities to Members, managers and staff.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in hands-on HR generalist role working across a range of HR disciplines, providing advice and resolving HR issues (eg: workplace relations, workforce planning, recruitment, OH&S, injury management and performance management).
  • Knowledge of and experience working with Public Sector or equivalent policies, agreements and frameworks
  • Strong communications skills
  • Demostrated influencing and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver on quality outcomes.
