About the role
We're currently looking for a
Head of Client Acquisition.


As the Head of Client Acquisition, you will play a crucial role in expanding our client base and establishing Mamamia as a leader in the media industry.

This is a strategic, senior media sales role designed to lead our client acquisition and new business development efforts.


By leveraging your exceptional interpersonal skills, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to identify and target high growth clients, opening up new and exciting business opportunities for our organisation.

By building and nurturing strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers, you will foster long-term partnerships that drive mutual success.


Your ability to effectively manage initial business development discussions will be paramount in showcasing our unique offerings and value proposition.

Through your persuasive communication skills and in-depth industry knowledge, you will demonstrate the value of our solutions, ultimately leading to successful partnerships and revenue growth.


  • Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective clients, establishing strong relationships and effectively managing initial business development discussions.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to identify and target potential clients in the media industry for new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decisionmakers and influencers in client organisations, fostering longterm partnerships.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to understand industry trends, client needs, and competitors, informing business development strategies. Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in the media industry, ensuring our company remains at the forefront of innovation.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to align efforts and deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, networking events, and client meetings to showcase our media solutions and expand our network.
  • Oversee the development and delivery of compelling sales presentations and proposals, tailored to client needs and highlighting the value of our offerings.
  • Negotiate and close complex sales deals, leveraging your expertise and industry knowledge to secure profitable agreements.
  • Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports to senior management, offering insights, recommendations, and strategies for growth.

About You

  • Senior level indepth knowledge and understanding of the Australian media/marketing industry, including its dynamics, trends, and key players.
  • Strong marketing strategy background with a proven track record of designing and delivering integrated marketing solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key decisionmakers and influencers.
  • Skilled in developing and implementing strategic plans to identify and target potential clients in the media industry.; a datadriven approach, conducting effective market research and analysis to understand industry trends, client needs, and competitors, thereby informing business development strategies.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, easily able to leverage the expertise of different teams to achieve large scale business outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills as well as strong negotiation and closing skills. Their expertise and industry knowledge will enable them to negotiate and close complex sales deals.
  • Strong analytical skills to offer insights, recommendations, and growth strategies based on the sales data, contributing to the overall success of the organisation.
  • Demonstrates a positive and proactive attitude towards work, possessing a PMA (Positive Mental Attitude)
