The role Reporting to the Director, Queensland Virtual Hospital, you will be responsible for providing program management and operational support for governance groups, ensuring efficient coordination of projects within tight deadlines.

Your role involves identifying best practice virtual models of care and facilitating their state-wide scale and spread.

Offering expert advice and decision-making to the Director Queensland Virtual Hospital, you will contribute to virtual health strategies aligned with the government's direction.

Your responsibilities extend to delivering responsive advice to key stakeholders, including Clinical Excellence Queensland, the Director-General, and Minister for Health, on complex organizational issues.

Building positive relationships across the health sector, from frontline clinicians to the Deputy Director-General, is crucial, requiring effective people skills, consultation, presentation, negotiation, and influence.

Additionally, you will play a key role in resource management, overseeing team development, contributing to department budget development, and ensuring efficient budget allocation.

Your collaborative efforts within the team will contribute to achieving the goals, priorities, and initiatives of the Queensland Virtual Hospital, including managing subordinate staff's performance appraisal and development.

The successful personTo excel in this role, possessing advanced communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills is crucial for effective engagement with stakeholders across all levels.

This includes the ability to negotiate, establish relationships, influence stakeholders, and oversee staff within the healthcare portfolio.

Additionally, you should have demonstrated expertise in crafting and reviewing intricate reports, submissions, briefing notes, agenda papers, and other communications tailored for executive-level and ministerial stakeholders.

Furthermore, your success in this position hinges on proven experience in navigating the challenging and dynamic operating landscapes of the healthcare sector.

This involves highlighting your ability to lead, manage, and successfully implement complex state-wide clinical projects using quality improvement and redesign methodologies, all while meeting specified time and budget constraints.

Your record of accomplishment should also reflect your capability to offer strategic advice and direction within the healthcare domain, coupled with the capacity to build and lead high-performance teams, delivering exceptional outcomes within tight timelines.
