Job Title:
Transport Manager.


Immediate Supervisor:
Operations Manager


Main purpose of job:
Leading daily operations, including driver allocations.

Problem Solving Using Own initiative.

Leading internal administration Support for the transport department including filing,

data input & using Microsoft Office Programmes, and inhouse programmes (CMS)

Monitoring compliance to statutory, legislative and licensing requirements including

OH&S, Fatigue Management.

Complete regular run analysis and manage driver performance.

Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations along with

chain of responsibility (COR).

Develop KPIs and daily strategies with transport team members and monitor

individual performance.

Deliver on and demonstrate our company values.

Main duties/responsibilities

Oversee the timely delivery of goods & our services.

Oversea Routes and Deliveries for the business.

Maintain delivery Schedule and track deliveries to ensure deliveries are met.

Analyse delivery costs and recommend more cost-effective methods of delivery.

Monitor and report driver issues such as accidents, safety concerns. & licencing

issues.

Supporting in organising and maintaining of electronic/manual filing system for

customer POD's.

Communications and being proactive to customer enquiries and reasonable requests.

Dealing with routine correspondence on own initiative.

Ensuring safety compliances are adhered to.

Principal qualifications required:
Qualifications with relevant employment experience.


INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
Educational standards

Bachelor's degree in logistics, business management or related field.

Training in Logistics and Fleet management is highly considered.

Strong Database management skills is recommended.

Work Experience

Excellent leadership skills and good conflict resolution skills.

Strong Victoria geographical knowledge.

At least 2 years' experience as a transportation manager in a similar industry.

Previous Administration experience including producing excel report is essential.

Transport/Logistics experience within a recent, similar role is a must.

Intermediate IT Skills - Word and Excel and the ability to learn software.

Health & safety awareness.

Ability to work well with team members and navigate stressful situations.

Strong relationship building Skills.

Able to manage multiple tasks.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Excellent customer service & oral/written communication skills including polite/professional

telephone manner.
