2023 will be the most exciting year yet for Group Digital as we head towards bringing to life simple, innovative experiences that connect customers with ease and confidence.

We're looking for a digital leader to lead the Digital Product Owner (DPO) function and evolve our digital platform strategy to enable a better user experience for our customers.

Reporting into the Chief Digital Officer, the Head of Digital Product will have 3 primary responsibilities:


The end to end accountability of customer experiences, digital functionality and future investments in technology and digital platforms to enable customers to discover, research, purchase and transact via our digital touch points as well as LiveChat/messaging.

The remit of the portfolio will extend to enabling priorities across our 4 core brands and financial services enlisted above.


Last but not least, we would like to collaborate with Digital LT and BU Heads in defining the Digital Product backlog, inclusive of business case formulation, benefits tracking and ownership of relevant success metrics for Group Digital.

E.g. digital channel mix, sales conversion, cSAT and tNPS


Responsibilities:


  • Work collaboratively with IT to define our digital platform roadmap to enable both our Northstar vision for CX, and our shift from a coupled front to backend to a decoupled, API based and modular setup.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, design and solution architects, business stakeholders and technical development teams to prioritise, business case, execute on continuous delivery and capability developments across acquisitions, inlife and renew journeys
  • Evolving our Digital squads' ways of working by way of unifying agile ceremonies, EPIC/user story tracking, release burn down charts and definition of ready/done requirement
  • Create, prioritise and maintain the overall Digital product backlog with a deep focus on the acquisition team, collaborating closely with key stakeholders to ensure ideas have value and clear uplift opportunity;
  • Identify opportunities and benefits to support the development of business cases to gain commercial approval for new digital technologies that will help enrich our ability to engage and win new customers
  • Define and maintain a DPO core competencies framework that encourages skillset awareness, assessment and growth across the DPO team
  • Build an experimentation, fail fast and learn culture across the Digital team
  • Coach Digital Product Owners whilst keeping the DPO's autonomous and accountable for their respective squads;
  • Work alongside DLT to create a 24 month rolling roadmap as well as contribute to 90 day planning cycles with the wider company, implicating OKR's and Group Digital's/squad missions
  • Work closely with data and analytics, digital marketing and CX team to understand customer behaviours and data to inform decisions and product development.
  • Consider future technologies such as AI and Automation to drive better customer experiences and improved operational efficiencies for MMSG
  • Support Sales and Client teams with digital product demos, as needed.

You will bring:

  • 8 + yrs experience working across Digital Platforms and common software development code practices like React, Angular and Xamarin
  • 5+ yrs experience working in an Agile delivery environment as a Digital Product Owner
  • Crossfunctional experience cocreating across other disciplines, inclusive of UX, Design, Software engineering, Architecture, Test Automation and Release Management
  • Proven ability to critique and drive digital change with consideration of customer, commercial and technical possibilities and constraints
  • Experience advocating for agile in a governance driven organisation
  • The ability to prioritise effectively to maintain a manageable workload for teams and maximise customer value delivery
  • A strong ability to resolve complex problems, working through situations and opportunities
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with strong ability to elicit and articulate requirements
  • Ability to assess the impact of implementing change on other areas of business
  • Proven facilitation skills
  • Diploma/Degree in either Commerce, Business, Computer Science or Digital is desirable but not essential
