Reporting to the Application Development and Integration Manager, the Web Development Lead will partner with Marketing, Student Administration and other business stakeholders to oversee the development and management of Swinburne's external web presence.

Working closely with other IT colleagues, the Web Development Lead role is central to the delivery of Swinburne's website operations and strategy.


The Web Development Lead will be responsible for the development, analysis, and improvement of Swinburne's web-based systems, ensuring that system configuration, processes, access, and support align with user needs.

The Web Development Lead will also keep abreast of emerging technologies and trends, providing advice to marketing colleagues that assists with optimising and achieving marketing strategies across all campaigns, initiatives, and audience segments.


About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Demonstrated experience in strategic and operational planning with strong analytical and conceptual thinking for web or related areas in large and complex organisations.
  • Demonstrated ability achieving successful outcomes in a web development role with strong capacity for innovation.
  • Demonstrated experience in the analysis and management of complex web development issues.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a successful and highly motivated team to deliver highquality outputs to tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability managing complex financial, human, physical and IT resources to achieve strategic and operational goals.

Qualifications

  • A degree in computer science, software engineering, web development or related discipline with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
  • Experience in using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) for the website content management
  • Experience using PHP for Web development
