The Organisation

Our client focusses on the delivery of high quality, effective person centred care and provides sub-acute primary and community based health services.


The Position
Within this position, you will carry a case load, exercise independent professional judgment on moderately complex tasks and work in collaboration with the Allied Health Manager, You will:

  • In collaboration with the Allied Health Manager and other health care staff, provide leadership for clinical governance and clinical direction of the Allied Health Team.
  • Provide clinical leadership and accountability, ensuring staff work within a recovery evidencebased framework. Initiate and evaluate therapeutic programs and maximise the efficiency of financial, human and physical resources.
  • Maintain a small caseload as when required.
  • Provide clinical expertise within the multidisciplinary team processes and work collaboratively with people, carers and community agencies/other stakeholders.
  • Undertake other duties appropriate to this level of classification which contribute to the operation of the organisation.
  • Provide professional supervision and clinical direction, mentorship of new and junior staff to develop professional competency, whilst embedding evidencebased practices.

Criteria:


  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant, recovery focused, therapeutic allied health profession / AHPRA Registration and a minimum of three five years postqualification experience in a relevant clinical area and of supervising staff is preferred.
  • Drivers Licence
  • Proven ability to provide clinical leadership in an acute mental health environment and experience in developing, delivering and evaluating recovery evidence based therapy programs within the multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to provide support in the management of human, financial and physical resources including by utilising relevant reports, performance indicators and audit processes to evaluate team activities and achievements.
  • Demonstrated ability to build competence within the multidisciplinary allied health team, establish priorities, exercise initiative and deliver outputs within agreed timeframes.
  • Proven strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience in effective communication with consumers, carers, staff, management and external stakeholders in a range of forums.
