The Continuing Airworthiness Manager (CAM) is a leadership position that ensures continuous regulatory compliance with CASR Part 42 regulations, the CASR Part 42 MOS and the Network Aviation CAMO Exposition for the aircraft in the Network Aviation Fleet.

As the Continuing Airworthiness Manager, you will oversee the management of the Network Aviation Fokker and Airbus Fleets using an effective Maintenance Program, Reliability Program and modification program, all in alignment with the airline's strategy, operational and network requirements.

Importantly the role is critical in the development of employee proficiency and knowledge to ensure the CAMO requirements are effectively discharged and that business continuity is maintained.


Additionally, your responsibilities will also include:

  • Ensuring regulatory compliance, ongoing airworthiness and safe operation of the Network Aviation Fleet.
  • Creating and overseeing systems and processes that will protect airworthiness and compliance.
  • Acting on behalf of the AOC to ensure the safe, compliant and costeffective execution of all maintenance relating to the fleet, including necessary oversight and decision rights related to the services provided to the AOC by the supporting maintenance organisations.
  • As our organisation continues to see growth, you will need to evaluate and critically analyse current business processes within the CAMO to ensure readiness for growth
  • Providing analytical support and research advice to stakeholders in relation to strategies and initiatives that deliver business benefits. This will include engaging and partnering with stakeholders for streamlining processes and workflows.
  • Oversight of CASA Part 42 configuration control, Service Literature assessments, Airworthiness Directive Management, Maintenance Program management, MEL management, aircraft technical record management and performance of airworthiness reviews.
To be successful in this role you'll have

  • 15 years' experience working in the aviation industry and at least 3 years' experience in continuing airworthiness management of aircraft.
  • Either:
  • An aircraft engineer licence in category B1 or B2;
  • A qualification in aircraft maintenance at least at Certificate IV level;
  • A qualification in aviation maintenance management at least at diploma level; or
  • A Degree in Engineering or an Aviation related discipline.
  • A comprehensive knowledge of the regulations and standards applicable to the airworthiness of large aircraft including CASR Part 42 & Part 145 regulations and expositions.
  • Experience in strategy development and implementation.
  • Proven people leadership experience with the ability to develop high performing, engaged teams.
  • Ability to analyse and review data to identify trends and develop strategies and processes.
  • Strong project management and process improvement experience.
  • Strong written and oral interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong and durable relationships.
  • Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to work to a designated timeline.
  • Ability to operate with minimum supervision.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Indepth knowledge across one or more broad fields of engineering sufficient to meet the requirements of CASR Part 42 and MOS requirements to hold CASA Form 4 approval for the Continuing Airworthiness Manager (CAM) regulatory position.
