An exciting opportunity is available for a Marketing Specialist to join the Swinburne Student Life team at Swinburne University of Technology


The Marketing Specialist will be critical in reaching Swinburne students to strengthen their sense of belonging to the university and create a community through social media and marketing strategies.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Managing Swinburne Student Life social media accounts, including content creation and content calendar scheduling.
  • Developing multichannel marketing campaigns to increase participation in extracurricular activities at the university, such as clubs, sport, volunteering and more.
  • Contributing to the delivery of Orientation and Transition at Swinburne for newly commencing students.
  • Maintaining the Student Portal website and its content.
  • Designing marketing collateral such as web assets, signage and merchandise.


The role would suit someone with social media/marketing experience wanting to develop communities and build a sense of belonging in a fun, collaborative team.


About You

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Demonstrated relevant experience in marketing strategy and content development, including managing social media content, calendars and communities
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to the development of a positive and cooperative team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding marketing/communication activity to a diverse customer base
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to negotiate and collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders

Qualifications

  • A relevant tertiary qualification or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
