About the role


The Workforce Wellbeing Specialist will act in an independent nature, developing and implementing holistic wellbeing practices, executing, and monitoring strategies to improve staff and volunteer culture, morale, productivity, and happiness in the workplace.

This role requires a strategic mindset and the necessity to develop a strong understanding of the challenges faced by our workforce in both their professional and personal lives.


This role is the champion for the wellbeing support provider and requires close collaboration with the leadership and P&C team and assists with employee relations support, inclusive of WHS incidents.


  • Create and implement strategies to achieve organisational objectives for health and wellbeing
  • Establish effective relationships and directly engage with frontline staff, and offer appropriate support where required
  • Provide internal workforce counselling support
  • Champion EAP support services for employees/volunteers
  • Support WHS committee to drive safety performance and health initiatives across the organisation
  • Liaise with managers and employees regarding wellbeing, health, and morale issues, and create action plans accordingly
  • Implement wellness initiatives for specific staff groups to enhance overall organisational culture, morale, and productivity
  • Ensure boundaries are maintained and matters are escalated to the appropriate supervisor when required
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with Modern Awards and NES requirements
  • Assist with coaching staff and managers to resolve performance and/or behavioural related issues when required
  • Assist with mediating and resolving employee related grievances when required
  • Assist the People & Culture team when required

About You

  • You have minimum 5 years of Wellbeing/ WHS or related experience in a similar role within the industry
  • You have a tertiary qualification in related discipline
  • You have demonstrated experience in providing corporate programs, consulting or clinical services to employers focused on employee mental health and psychosocial wellbeing
  • You have a high level verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills, and are able to interact appropriately, confidentially and professionally
  • You are exceptionally organised with the ability to show initiative, and prioritise tasks appropriately to meet deadlines
  • You have the ability to mediate resolve workplace conflicts
