The Opportunity
We are seeking a Financial Cost Analyst to join our team supporting the cutting edge MQ-28A Ghost Bat Program. We're looking for "can-do" self-starters, who enjoy working in a diverse team exploring new technology.
Boeing is taking another bold step in aerospace and advanced manufacturing. MQ-28A is the first military aircraft to be designed, engineered and manufactured in Australia in more than 50 years.

This unmanned teaming aircraft is Boeing's first military aircraft to be designed and developed outside the U.S and uses artificial intelligence to extend the capabilities of manned and unmanned platforms.

This cutting edge project is aiming to unlock global defence and aerospace opportunities for Boeing and Queensland.

The role would ideally be based in Brisbane, however offers the opportunity for flexible working arrangements including ability to perform some days remotely from home and flexible working hours.

This role offers the opportunity to challenge yourself in a fast-paced environment with plenty of changes that keeps the work interesting and provides the opportunity for exposure to the broader Boeing enterprise.


Responsibilities:

Work with our existing Finance team to assist with

  • Development of cost forecasts, monthly financial reporting and quarterly Estimate at Completion.
  • Analysis of Cost performance and recommendations on impacts & actions
  • Implementation of Baseline changes into the financial system
  • Variance reporting on Cost and Schedule performance
  • Pricing of minor contract change proposals
  • Review of financial data with program and leadership stakeholders
  • Stakeholder management including liaising with Control Account managers, finance team and Program Leadership
  • Mentoring of junior cost analysts in the team
Experience/Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in finance, business or commerce; or equivalent experience in the workforce
  • Strong excel skills
  • Experience with Deltek Cobra cost management program or equivalent advantageous
  • Familiarity with earned value management while not essential would be highly regarded
  • Experience with cost forecasting, variance reporting and estimates at completion
  • Experience managing financial baseline changes
  • Experience with Open Plan Professional or equivalent scheduling program advantageous
