As the
Piping Designer, you will be responsible for working as part of our new
Resources Hub team to provide and lead design services, technical input and direction in design to assist with the development and execution of growth strategies that will lead to the growth of new energy and resources business within ANZ and globally.

This role will focus on leading the design aspects in support of the pursuit and delivery of key opportunities within the new energy and resources sector.


The primary focus of the role will be (but not limited to):

  • Collaborate with project teams to design SMP systems and equipment for civil construction and mining projects.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, perform calculations, and create detailed engineering designs.
  • Overseeing design and checking drawings and deliverables for compliance with client expectations, standards, specifications and procedures.
  • Liaising with relevant disciplines to ensure design coordination of multidisciplined projects.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including project managers, engineers, technicians, and contractors, to coordinate piping design activities.
  • Maintaining high levels of accuracy and quality in the design documentation
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in piping design systems, equipment, and processes. #LI-AP1

Here's what you'll need:


  • Experience in design experience and checking in Greenfield and Brownfield projects across Heavy Industry, Mining, Materials Handling and Process Plant Design industry.
  • Robust knowledge of international and local 3D CAD design methods, applicable codes and specifications associated with new energy and resources (mining) projects.
  • Competency in design software such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, SP3D (SmartPlant 3D), PDMS (Plant Design Management System), and E3D (AVEVA Everything3D).
  • Experience in delivering EPC and/or EPCM projects. (not essential but held in high regard)
  • Proven experience in effectively delivering piping design elements of studies, projects and proposal teams.
