About the Opportunity:


The Marketing and STEM Officer is a newly created role to provide support with various processes associated with internal and external communications, marketing, and scholarship delivery.

Working within AINSE's Communications and Events team, this position will collaborate closely with University students receiving support from the organisation through scholarships or events, academics, and scientific staff as part of our long standing association with ANSTO (the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation).


About You:


  • Diploma or higher qualification in science or engineering, or related area
  • Strong demonstrated interest in marketing
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
  • Proven time management and organisational skills, including ability to plan, schedule and prioritise multiple tasks/projects with a high level of detail.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using computer software programs, including Microsoft Office
A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and working effectively in a team.


Your Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Content creation and implementation of regular website updates, ensuring published items are correct and uptodate;
  • Production material to showcase projects and achievements, including, but not limited to, written articles and multimedia content;
  • Assist with the engagement of external organisations to promote partnership opportunities.
  • Provide scientific review and input regarding awards and programs, and act as first point of contact for scientific and engineering specialists engaged in the delivery of educational schools.
  • Identify opportunities and undertake various activities to promote the benefits of membership, including active promotion at conferences, events and roadshows to build the brand and reputation.
  • Ongoing membership reporting including, but not limited to, the annual report and quarterly newsletters.
