We have an exciting opportunity for an Allied Health Assistant (Grade 3)** to join and support our allied health teams.


About the role:


Working primarily with a small team of
passionate and
skilled OT's with a clinical lead who will provide
supervision and guidance.

This role supports a range of programs and groups for the residents in the Yarra Ranges.

Ideally you will be an
experienced AHA who is organised with strong administrative skills. You will be passionate about quality health care, and able to
run groups and follow up OT home modifications. This position offers a broad range of opportunities to learn and has both clinical and administrative focus.


This role will be
full time or
part time and based mainly at
Lilydale, although you may also be rostered to Belgrave and other sites in the community.

The role is
fixed term for six months, with a
view to permanency.


Position Responsibilities:


  • Assist Allied Health Professionals (AHP) to provide a range of individual and group services
  • Support the running of the Diabetes Annual Cycle of Care (DACCC) by organising appointments, blood results and coordinating GP feedback
  • Provide support and backup to the Integrated Diabetes Education & Assessment Service (IDEAS)
  • Review completed home modifications and complete home visits for equipment trials and training
  • Order equipment and supplies, including PPE to support timely clinical practice
  • Support the Clinical Operations Managers by preparing contracts for new service providers
  • Ensure that equipment and facilities are safely utilised and maintained in good repair

About You:


You will have:


  • Tertiary training in a recognised course e.g. Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistant
  • Current Full Victorian Driver's License and ability to drive a range of vehicles
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with Allied Health Professionals by having capabilities that demonstrate an ability to work within and across teams
  • An understanding of confidentiality and professional boundaries
  • Experience in group work preferred
  • Demonstrated IT skills including the ability to use electronic client record systems, Excel, Word and the ability to engage with relevant workplace IT systems relevant to the role
  • Welldeveloped communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be a great problem solver, who is proactive and motivated
  • A willingness to learn
  • Dedication to safe practice & quality care
  • A commitment to delivering client centred care
  • Be enthusiastic, empathetic & able to work collaboratively.
