The Role


Reporting to the Head of Audience Development, The Network Editor is accountable for curating the key sections of News Corp's premium metropolitan and regional homepages to engage existing subscribers and attract new subscribers.


As the Network Editor, you will be responsible for identifying and distributing audience-led journalism that engages and converts new audiences to "Pay & Stay".

This is a hands-on editing role that leverages audience analytics and insights to inform identify and surface articles, focusing on audience engagement and growth by exposing high value journalism to more people on different platforms and publications.

This role will work directly with other Network Editors, Social Media Specialists, Newsletter Editors, Masthead Editors, Deputy Editors, Digital Editors, Social Media Editors and wider team to Digital Media Hub to publish and distribute premium subscription journalism aligned to our "_pay and stay_" strategy


Who you are

  • Industry experience in a similar digital role
  • Content is your passion, making you the goto person for executing the best tactics to increase reach, engagement and referrals.
  • You are dataled, fluent in analytics, and know how to implement strategies based on data.
  • You understand and have experience in curating content for a premium lifestyle brand, with an eye for balancing digital requirements and upholding the brand's aesthetic look and feel.
  • SEO is your bread and butter and you understand and have experience in the art of crafting the perfect headline for different stories based on keyword targeting and user behaviour.
  • You stay on top of the latest tools and social technology developments that enable us to engage readers and achieve business goals.
