Our client is a leading East coast property group who have close to $10bil of projects to be delivered across high rise resi, mixed use, commercial and retail and due to this growth they have an immediate requirement for a Senior Contracts Manager to join the group.

The role will form part of the senior management team and will have all commercial staff both head office and site based as direct reports.


They are seeking an experienced Group Contracts Manager, with strong technical contracts experience as well as exposure to commercial negotiation and engagement with various stakeholders.


You will be responsible for providing commercial guidance to multiple project teams; and taking a proactive role in the mentoring and development of contracts administrators across the business, as well as overseeing the management for all project-based subcontractors, ensuring the accuracy of contracts and payments.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • A seasoned Contracts Manager with experience across large multi discipline building projects ideally within mixed use, hotels or commercial projects in excess of $100mil
  • Agile approach across complex and differing commercial agreements and contract structures.
  • Manage legislation, contractual, governance and regulatory compliance through the delivery phase of major projects to ensure risk mitigation and benefit realisation.
  • Ability to clearly communicate (in both written and oral form) to ensure effective delivery of project updates; correspondence between contract parties; operational reports and Board submissions.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing sound advice to Project Directors and other interested stakeholders
  • Ensuring payments are paid on time by processing progress claims
  • Ensuring progress claims are approved to schedule
  • Compiling cost planning and forecasting reports
  • Strong experience procuring subcontractors and trades
  • Demonstrated ability to drive and assist with all tenders
  • Preparation of subcontract documentation and tender administration
  • Liaison with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of materials on time

Skills and Requirements

  • Experience with a tier 1 or 2 builders on large scale building projects $100mil plus
  • Knowledge of building codes, regulations and rates
  • Selfstarter who is willing to contribute to a team environment
  • You will be an outcome focused individual
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and busy environment
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Be proficient in using industry software packages (JOBPAC)
  • Detail oriented and ability to multi task
  • Be professionally presented

$300, $350,000.00 per year
