What to Expect- Tesla Energy is looking for a Quality and Technical Lead to work in one of the most progressive companies in the world. A key technical member of a cross functional team that focuses on deploying Industrial Energy Storage Products (Megapack) opportunities with cutting edge technologies.
- You will be responsible for assisting the project manager in driving project delivery with an emphasis on subcontractor assistance and governance. You must have a genuine passion for engineering products that will fundamentally change the world's energy infrastructure and a desire to work in a fastpaced project oriented environment.
- You will be overseeing and directing (at the discretion of the Project Manager) megapack site construction projects to completion, ensuring quality and timely delivery
- Responsible for coordination efforts with other design and engineering, subcontractors, and peer leadership
- Coordinate energization work sequences, schedules, resources, and punch list items
- Drive continuous improvement on developing and capturing technical problemsolving knowledge to enable other organizations to effectively resolve customer problems and inquiries
- Ownership of administrative responsibilities including, but not limited to issue logging/tracking, job safety analysis, quality compliance
- Point of contact at site level for technical and engineering issues with subcontractors and other stakeholders
- Oversee commissioning and acceptance testing of the entire plant in a safe manner, including:
- controls and communication networks
- batteries
- auxiliary systems like fire detection, HMI, and UPS
What You'll Bring
- Formal qualification as an Electrical Engineer or Electrical trade background
- High Voltage qualifications are highly desirable
- 3 5 years of professional experience in commissioning, Installation or performance testing for large scale PV, storage, or other electrical energy systems
- Knowledge and experience with SCADA systems
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to execute many projects and tasks in parallel, selfdirected, highly detailoriented, organized, and flexible
- Ability to travel up to 75% of time, occasionally on short notice
- Demonstrated experience in customerfocused problem solving
